It depends on the trailer. The 5x8 (2,990 lb GVWR) is towable by most SUVs and crossovers. The 7x16 (7,000 lb GVWR) requires a half-ton truck or larger. The car hauler (14,000 lb GVWR) requires a 3/4-ton or 1-ton truck. Always factor in the weight of your load on top of the trailer weight. Not sure?
